So I started this early in the summer and just finally finished last week.  It took me that long to save up enough bags!!  Here's the pattern I based it on: http://www.marloscrochetcorner.com/round%20plastic%20bag%20tote.html  I'm pretty sure mine is bigger because, although I didn't keep exact count, I know I used at least double the amount of bags the pattern called for.  (Each bag came out to make about 12 stitches.)  I think I might use it as my book bag this semester, see how it holds up.

nah, I entered the pantyhose bikini top (https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=49929.0)  Which you actually commented on, too, so thanks!  Cheesy  I just figured the pantyhose were more original.  Glad you like this, though!

AmyKT5, what size hook did you use?  I started to make one of those bags with a P hook (the big gray plastic one), and I found it really difficult.  I was thinking about re-doing it with a Q, but I'm afraid it would make the stitches too loose - any advice?

Sati, I love your avatar.

Jenny~  I used an "M" like the pattern called for.  It took me a while to get used to for sure because the plastic doesn't really slide nicely and sometimes I had to fight it a bit to actually get it hooked on the hook to pull through.  I just stuck with it, though, and finally got into a groove with it.  I think I tend to crochet a little tight, so I always kind of had the plastic pulled a little taut.  Sorry I don't really have a whole lot of wisdom for you.  Embarrassed

I don't crochet but I have seen a little tidbit floating around that may help while crochetting plastic grocery bags. Put a dab of moisturizer every now and then on your hook. Someone said it makes the plastic slide off the hooks easier. Smiley Like I said, I don't really know but it sounds helpful.
