so, i found a mirror in a thrif store that had "love hurts" etched on the front, that some other DIY chick had made..or something. it had an ugle brown frame, but i thought i'd just paint the frame and hang it up. i put it in the back of my closet in a brown paper bag, and forgot about it. i went to pull it out months later and it was completely shattered. so i went through the broken bits (yes, i didn't wear gloves and yes, i cut myself..ouch) and picked out the pieces that still had "love hurts". then i decopauged a piece of cardboard with old text and images of lung x-rays from an old german medical book, and added some hearts. oh...i spraypainted the frame black, too. i think it's pretty cute!

oh, I think the broken-ness of it is even more powerful...  and it's so cool that the etching was on there to begin with.  great job of turning a bad accedident into something so lovely!   Cheesy

I've done some glass etching.  You can get a thing of Armor Etch from a craft store. werks good Grin
