I'm in Whitecourt, technically northeast I guess.  Today it definitely feels like the NORTH (brrrrrr)  Barren crafty wasteland of a town Tongue

My dad was born in Lac La Biche.

This is like playing 2 degrees of separation.

He hasn't lived there since he was a little kid, I just found the coincidences amusing.

I've been in Edmonton (south end) for 3 months now and I'll soo tired of shopping at over-priced Michaels! Does anyone know of regular craft groups in the area?  I don't know anyone here and would love to meet other crafty people.

I just know the Old Strathcona One

Stitch & Bitch in Old Strathcona

S+B Strathcona is a group of diverse friendly knitters that get together twice a month in the Old Strathcona area. Varied age and skill level are welcome. Bring your needles, yarn and a couple of coins for a latte/tea/wine etc.

What is Stitch & Bitch?
I think S+B was born from Debbie Stoller's wonderful S+B Books, but I am not entirely certain. A few exist in Edmonton, our group usually has about a dozen in attendance.
