This is a great old table that I would like to complete with a metal trim, like the 50s-ish formica tables.  Does anyone know where to get the metal?

This won't solve your problem - but I replaced the formica on an old table and looked around for new metal - I could not find it and ended up re-using the old metal.  My friend put metal trim on her kitchen counters - she got the trim through a floor-covering distributor.  Since it is similar to the metal strips used to finish flooring, it seems like one avenue to pursue. Good luck!  I would love to see your answer if you solve this dilemma.

So rested she by the tumtum tree,

Right now I'm trying to finish other projects Grin, but thanks for the suggestion.  When I finish these others I will definately check the flooring stores.
