Nerdy, welcome to our madness! I used to live in St. Peters and swore I' d never go back, unless I was just passng through-bad memories!
Listen you all, I'm having a sewing/quilting bee on Wednesday, after 4 pm at my house. I got a TON of fabric from freecycle.org, and it just needs to be cut into squares and stitched together in a pleasing manner.
I expect to see some of you, especially the lurkers who live nearby Smiley  If you can make it, PM me for the address. I'm also working on it today, so if you're bored...

you all need to come over tonight (Saturday) to cut squares and stitch them together, if you've got a portable machine!
   PM me for address/phone/etc.

Heya I'm off Saturday! Can we start talking get-together??? Does anyone know of cool craft/art fairs going on? There were a bunch last weekend but I was too busy to get to them or Calicoon's for that matter. Tongue

Autumn and I are meeting at Soulard Coffee Garden at 2 pm today if anyone else can make it. There's some sort of Bohemian Art Fair going on in Soulard. If you want to meet us, email me, as I am an email addict and will definitely check it before I go. Hope to see some of you!

I live near Scott AFB and am new to crafting, but would love to meet some new people. (I'm also looking for tips on how to do things, because I really want to learn!) My husband is gone for the next 11 months, so I'm looking for some extra social outlets.

I'm 23...are there any people my age interested in meeting up?

Hi Tivaclare! What sorts of crafts are you into? Me and some other locals have Stitch n' Bitch sessions every tuesday at The Ground Floor Coffee Shop in Belleville. Calicoon and I get together out in St. Louis once or twice a month though we've both been really busy with the holidays. There is also a "KnitTogether" group that meets at the Beaded Fiber Patch in O'Fallon once a month.

hrm...I too am a St. Louis crafter and have been dying to meet some other folks who share my interests! I see lots of talk about meeting out close to Illinois. Anyone actually in St. Louis and not ESLu?

Once the holidays are over with, I think I'd like to get together once a month or more. I'm so tired of sewing...for now, that is! I have pajama pants to make!
Redsweetpea-i live in south St. Louis, near Carondolet Park, but will travel for good coffee.
I have a sweater that needs to be completed-someone inspire me!

Hi Craft Yappers!  I am in St. Peters and am going to check out Picasso's Coffee shop, which sounds like a great place to meet once in a while, with another artsy gal or two from Free Cycle St. Charles. It is in O'Fallon, just a tad further west that St. Peters, for those unfamiliar with St. Charles County.  I would be interested in meeting with y'all, although I don't sew, knit or quilt.  I am interested in lots of crafts though: painting on denim, designing purses using recycled containers, painting and decorating gift baskets, lot of things.  My main interest is creating art from 'junk', especially non-recyclable plastics. Let me know when you are going to get together next, 'K?

Whose bright idea was this anyway?  I said burn all your bridges, not blow them up!  Jeez!
