Hehehe.  The backside looks pretty awful.  If I remember to, I'll take a quick snapshot for you.

Thanks~ Marian

Your blanket is gorgeous. Congrats on finishing it. Did you ever get a chance to take a picture of the back? I to am interested on how you joined your hex's. Could you join as you go along? What does the edge look like also? Do you have any idea on a pattern for a half hex to fill in on the sides?

Thanks, Di Smiley

I LOVE IT!  That is my very favorite kind of afghan!  I've not seen that kind of granny though~is it a public pattern?  THANKS!  I like that it looks great without bordering them all the same color.  (((((HUGS)))))  sandi

I love this! And the shape of the "squares" makes the project so versatile. I don't know if there's a pattern hidden within the responses, but I made my own on up and I'm totally going to make a blanket for myself. Maybe a scarf, too.

this reminds me of the ones my GG makes. the does a load of squares or hexagong while she's watching TV at night, then after a while she sews each piece (what she calls er "samplers") into a blanket and either donates it to her church for jumble sales, the local neonatal ward or passes it on to family if there's a new baby about.

she's 90.

I love the randomness of the colours and I love the pattern. I would be so proud to own this blanket!!!
As for a halfhex for the sides, I kinda like zig-zaggy edges so if I were to make one, I'd leave the edges hahaha!!!
