So I was trying to revamp a plain black picture frame to put this picture in.  I tried making some sort of frame out of a record, that didn't work.  I tried hot gluing red vinyl to the frame, that really didn't work and now my frame is covered with hot glue bits.  Is there anyway to get those off?  Or can anyone think of a way to decorate the frame so those glue-y bits are covered and the frame still goes with the theme of the photo?

have you tried kind of scraping them off with a knife? (you could repaint the frame afterwards.

what didn't work about the vinyl? if it was the glue not holding them on rather than anything stylistic, you could try a different glue.

erm how about gluing buttons or bottlecaps or something to it?

i've always been able to peel away hot glue, so maybe you could scrape it with a knife like io suggested.   if it won't, maybe you could drizzle hot glue all over the the frame and spray paint it.   there's a way to make spray paint splatter a bit, and i did a second overlay in a diff. color for a frame i made once. that might look cool over a drizzle design.
