MInd hasn't ben received yet as far as I know and I'm getting a bit worried about it because its been two weeks since I shipped it.

I also have yet to hear that mine made it to it's destination. My partner was going on vacation though, so hopefully that's why, and I don't need to worry.

There are a couple of people who have not quite yet fufilled thier commitments.  As far as I know, however, they are all busily working on their mixes right now and promise to send out soon.

If you look on the original thread over on the 'swaps where sign-ups have ended' board, you will see the list with status for each user.  Some people have not let me know when they have sent out,  or there may be some other inaccuracy - but in general I have tried to keep it up to date.

On that note, if your partner has already received her disc from you, check to make sure I have updated your feedback.  I have tried to keep up with it, but I may have missed some people.  Just send me a PM and I'll fix it.

Phew! Glad I am not the only one still waiting! Guess I am overly excited as this my first swap. I am sooooo curious as to who is sending to me and what new music I'll be listening to! I've never been very good with waiting Smiley

I got a great mostly Winnipeg/little bit Montreal mix from Kiera/Gink!

1. "The Place at the Top of the Stairs", 60 Stories
2. "Holiday", Painted Thin
3. "Wellington Wednesdays", Weakerthans
4. "The New Occupation", The Plan
5. "Where He Goes I Will Follow", Fuckmorgue
6. "Age of Ice", Gruf the Druid
7. "Physics", Park Like Setting
8. "Cowboy", Christine Fellows
9. "Churchill", Greg MacPherson
10. "Three Days at Sea (The Lost Years)", Great Lake Swimmers
11. "Ballyhoo", Nathan
12. "So Complicated Was the Fall", Clan Zu

13. "It's a Curse", Wolf Parade
14. "Neighborhood #3", Arcade Fire
15. "The Buildings They Are Sleeping Now", Godspeed You! Black Emperor
16. "Lift Yr Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven", Godspeed...

I am really impressed with all the music.  I have not had a chance to really listen and focus, but so far I really like the mix.  She also included really neat, hand-written notes about the songs, and included a short list of some noteable artists and filmmakers from 'the Peg' to check out.

I feel like I have learned a lot about Winnipeg music - there is clearly a lot going on there that I never had any notion of - and I am eager to investigate more!  So much diversity.

Thank you, Kiera

I know that opiate_rose has already received my CD (mhm, it took the CD more than 2 weeks to get there), so I'll post the pics - sorry again for the crappy pics.

The outside of the cover.

The inside. I later sticked a playlist to the inside, so it might be called an in-progress piccy.

I could post the playlist, but I think it won't tell a thing to you, fellow craftsters, because I'm sure noone has heard of the artists/bands. But here goes.
~~Sounds like Vilnius~~
1. Andrius Kaniava - Daina apie Vilnių [A Song About Vilnius]
2. Fojė - Arbata [Tea]
3. Antis - Poktas [Trick]
4. Bekeo Vilkai - Open The Doors
5. Huh - Vilniaus Stogai [The Roofs of Vilnius]
6. Saulės Klioas - Pasivaikčiojimas [A Walk]
7. Skamp - Padaryta dar viena [Another One Done]
8. Sloppy Livin' - Laikas bėga [Time flies]
9. Sportas - Policija [Police]
10. Svastikos Sukitės Greitai - Vilnius
11. Turbinos - Į miestą [To the City]
12. VRR - Vokiečių gatvė [Vokiečių {Germans'} Street]
13. Jazz Land - Prie pasakų miesto [Near the City of Fairy-tales]

I got my CD from Starpiste a few weeks ago (and yes I'm just getting around to posting it now).  But I love it!  Great artwork, great songs...  A lot of effort went into this CD.

This is songs of Canada - I don't know if it's a specific area, it didn't say, I suspect Vancouver, but not sure  Wink

The Front - The English Bay at Sunset
(There's a crack in it, I guess damaged during shipping, but the CD works find Smiley )

The Back - Jericho Beach During Folk Fest

The Playlist

1.  U2 - Intro
2.  Veda Hille - Birdsong
3.  Moist - Place
4.  Matthew Good Band- Apparitions
5.  Holly McNackend - Numb
6.  Tegan & Sara - Downtown
7.  Po' Girl - Corner Talk
8.  Young & Sexy - The City You Live In Is Ugly
9.  C.R. Avery Band - Commercial Drive
10.  Pure - God Intended for Me to Surf
11.  Bob Marley - No Woman, No Cry
12.  Ridley Bent - Pastures of Heaven
13.  The Be Good Tanyas - Light Enough to Travel
14.  The New Pornographers - Twin Cinema
15.  Swollen Members & Nelly Furtado - Breathe
16.  Rascalz - Northern Touch
17.  Bryan Adams - Summer of '69 ( This song makes me think of the South Park Movie ... "Now, now.  We've apologized for Bryan Adams many times now."  Nothing?  Fine. )
18.  Spirit of the West - And If Venice is Sinking

I love the CD.  Thank you so much!  And I'm sorry it took so long to show off your work, Starpiste.  But I really appreciate it!
