I've made several shirts using stenciling, and I've always used acrylic paint for textiles. Though after a wash or two, it seems to fade a bit, even if I "set" the print with an iron following freezer paper removal.

What kind of paint or ink would you experienced stencilers reccomend?

i used Jacquard fabric paint.
it has washed very nicely, comes in lots of colors also.
i found it at a university book store, if you go to the Jacquard website it tells where it is sold.
