I just found this hardcore bag waiting for me in the hallway Grin

The flames (or is it hair? I'll just go with flames) are really a bit more intensely blue, and they have an uneven coloration so to speak which makes them look more alive. Smiley

Totally awesome.

...oh, if it wasn't clear, I'm rarely completely serious. Smiley

I got an awesome swap package from TheEverFalling yesterday! I don't have pictures yet, as I'm at work, but there was a T-shirt with a stencil of a book that says "We Still Read", A tote bag that has my name on one side and "Reading is Sexy" on the other side, with a picture of a pin-up type girl. Then she sent me a glasses case and a little quilted pouch that holds bandaids, a bookmark and library card from her library, and some beaded things. Two small beaded hair elastics, and a long-necklace type thing that has a ring for holding keys (that's what the beaded things are, right? I hope I interpreted that right.) Everything is so awesome. Thanks TheEverFalling! I'll post pictures tonight or tomorrow.

ETA: oh yeah, she also sent me two handmade bookmarks! The kind that go over both sides of the page and stay together with magnets. My favorite, actually, because they stay put and I can mark the exact spot on the page where I left off.

Yeah, I really wish I had more cheesy romance novels to make cards out of.  To the thrift store!

thrift stores are the best! there is one i go to that has half off days where all books are a quarter. libraries are good too. i participated in the 'adult summer reading program' and when i turned in my reviews i got a $5 coupon to spend on library book sales. oh yeah more romance novels (that i don't really need) here i come!  Grin

Yeah, the library I work for, on the last day of their booksale, you pay $2 for a big grocery bag to fill.  I got 3 pulps, a bunch of old kids books (including one called "My Day at the LBJ Ranch"), and so many more!
Ooo, I just had a great idea to turn the LBJ ranch book into "My Day in Crawford TX".

I just got my package from ChtzpahGrrl like minutes ago! I waited all day for the UPS man to arrive and was checking the tracking number like mad, it was my first swap, can you tell?

Anyways the package from Sam was awesome!

She sent:
an awesomely put together denim bag with furry blue handles
a secret stash book, it says "Reading is..." and then is covered with a bunch of collaged words
a Rememberall book thong (a rememberall is from Harry Potter, in case you didn't know...it'll help me "remember" where I lift off)
a Firebolt broom pencil
and then mini highlighters, post-its and giant paper clips, for all my bookmarking needs!

There's a close up of my favorite 2 parts (I couldn't pick just one): the secret stash book and the Rememberall!

This was an awesome experience for my first swap, I can't wait to do another. Thanks Sam and everyone else for sharing their awesome stuff and making this swap possible.

Bottles caps? Please!
