When a friend of mine was close to passing away, he really appreciated getting a massage.  I think he was "touch starved".  But he really, really enjoyed it when a chiropractor friend worked on him.  You'd have to find a masseuse who was comfy with the situation and could make a house/hospital call.

A Bible is a good idea.  For a twist, how about a tape of you reading it.  It is very personal and she can listen when she is too tired to read and maybe a little lonely.
