Nabbymac, AWESOME cds!!  wot a great idea!

I can tell you, Fall is composed of

1 part dead fish smell
1 part wet leaves
1 part arctic chilled air (not winter chilled variety)
2 parts crunchy walking
a pinch very cold rain
some apples you picked yourself
a few very still moments
a good deal of inner reflection

Thanks bubba*tink!  Grin

I got the California cd idea after I returned from a trip to Texas and I came up with the UK cd idea from a discussion with a friend of mine (an anglophile).

ETA: I don't want it to sound like I hate Texas. It's just that after melting in the hot TX sun for a week I realized how much I love living where I do and wanted to show some state pride.

Olive and Orange was nice enough to post the wonderful CD's that I received from her.  (Sorry to have been a slacker)  I have been installing my show this week and I have been enjoying listening to them, they have a lot of great working music on them.  I will try to get an image up of the CD covers, they are super cute.
Thanks Lusterbunny

Eek! I hope you didn't think I was trying to rush you. Take your time, installations can be rough!

I sent my cds out by priority mail on the 5th... le_minx have you recieved them yet? Please let me know!!

webdreamy, did you ever hear from le_minx? I'm still waiting to hear from her to find out if she sent cd's to me. I pm'd her last Friday and still haven't heard from her and I know that she's been on craftster at least twice since I sent the pm. I understand that things happen and sometimes you can't mail things on time, but at least let your partner know what's going on. I was being patient at first but now...let's just say my patience has left the building.  Just wanted to find out if you or anyone else had heard anything from her.

Thanks, and sorry for the mini-rant.

I got your messages and couldn't reply right away since I was only able to check my email for about 5 minutes through internet kiosks in airports in Atlanta and Salt Lake City. I'm sorry if I came off as being a slacker :/ It's been a rough few weeks, but I'm finally settled at home and you should be getting the CDs today or tomorrow. I hope you like them! Oh, I didn't include a playlist (out of habit...my friends like to be "surprised" when I make them mixes), but here it is:

A Good Man is Hard to Find - Sufjan Stevens
Bastard - Ben Folds
Cold as Ice - Foreigner (hah!)
Does He Love You? - Rilo Kiley
Eating Styes from Elephants' Eyes - The Shins
Breath In - Frou Frou
Gotta Stop (Messin' About) - Self
Hell Yeah - Beck
I'm a Cuckoo - Belle & Sebastian
Julia - The Beatles
Know Your Chicken - Cibo Matto
London Calling - The Clash
Maps - Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Not About Love - Fiona Apple
On the Bus Mall - The Decemberists
Pacific Theme - Broken Social Scene
Que Onda Guero - Beck
Rock 'n' Roll Suicide - Seu Jorge
Set Yourself On Fire - Stars
Bridges, Squares - Ted Leo and the Pharmacists
Une Annee Sans Lumiere - The Arcade Fire
Victim of a Foolish Heart - Joss Stone
When the Roses Bloom Again - Wilco and Billy Bragg
Quizas Quizas Quizas - Xavier Ciougat y su Orquesta
You've got her in your Pocket - The White Stripes
Zak and Sara - Ben Folds

I used to look at all the flaws in the world and I'd think 'If I could make one thing perfect...', and then I did - underpants.
