Hello dear friends. As a parting farewell tonight, I'd like to post one last felted piece of work I completed. This was for the awesome LeapFeetFirst who I had the pleasure of swapping with during the Houseplant Swap. Her wish was for something mid-century inspired. I really didn't know what I was doing, but came up with this configuration of needle-felted leaves mounted onto a burlap-ish canvas with fabric accents and mounted again onto a piece of art that I bought, ripped apart, then reused Smiley I think it said "love" in a white wire, but the "frame" was perfectly suited for what I wanted. I was really happy with how dimensional everything looked after the bazillion layups I did before attaching them.

As accents to go with the main piece, I also included teenier canvases that were less decorated, but had wet-felted "pockets" that can hold air plants. each canvas was 6"x6".

I love this piece, and I'm so glad you shared it!  I love the composition of the leaves, and the touch of orange.  Beautiful.
