I made these for our cactus and succulent society party yesterday.  They look just like I envisioned, but nobody recognized them as a succulent.  Comments ranged from "what is that?" to " oh, a wreath! "  Sigh.
I reshaped old cookie cutters to make the leaves, and made up a pecan shortbread dough.

Super clever and pretty! I think it's obviously a succulent! Maybe if they were in a terra cotta pot they'd have got it? People!

When I saw it on the home page I was like - oh a succulent.  What's it made out of?  So I think you hit the mark!
