I started a full-time job that's eaten up all the hours I used to spend crafting and socializing, it's gotten really hard to organize a crafternoon with my artsy friends. I decided I had better just make the time or we'd be looking at February before we could get together again. I planned, invited, shopped for snacks, arranged for the family to have things to do outside the house, all the things. And then an ice storm hit, of all the luck!
Amazingly, a couple of determined souls decided to brave the weather and showed up at the door along with a childhood friend who recently moved to town. I was so happy they arrived ready to be crafty and we had such a great day! Just look at this marvelousness they created!

Beautiful autumn leaves with nicely formed roots.

This is such a great combo of shades and shapes.

Look at this sweet apple tree! I love that she put a few pretty blue stones in to offset the green and red. What an eye for detail.

You know I went for a rainbow explosion, lol. My man snagged this right up to hang at his office. Nice.

We were all very happy with what we made but also all agreed we could have used less wires and fewer beads for more spaced out branches and leaves. I do love this full, luxurious riot of colour though and am quite pleased with our first attempt at wire wrapped trees. We have plenty of supplies to try it again sometime. I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully sooner than February!

Whatever the question, the answer is always CRAFTING! It's the fix for all the sicks. Makes me feel better every time.

and remember, ALWAYS USE THE GOOD BEADS, YARN, FABRIC!

Love you all, thank you so much for everything. XO

Those are great!  I love the thick, luxuriant mass of stones, and the colors are scrumptious.

Love these! Even the ones that aren't in color schemes I'd normally go for are really lovely.

Thanks all Smiley.

We did watch a youtube video, there were lots of them available. I looked at images I liked for specific ideas too. Next time I will use way fewer beads and a slightly thicker wire to really highlight the trunk and branches of the tree as much as the roots.
