Sounds amazing, looks amazing, and I bet it tasted amazing!
I managed to burn every dish I cooked Thursday.  I was in the kitchen scraping burnt French's onions off the green bean casserole and the sweet potato casserole was black.  Didn't stop us from eating it and when I went to dish something for someone I would ask "light or dark?" and we would all chuckle.  Thankfully my hubby's family is super laid back but I'm sure I will be hearing about "Black Thanksgiving" for a bit!

Haha! I can relate to that. One year I wasn’t feeling well, so we decided to order dinner from the grocery store deli. We went to pick it up shortly before we planned to have dinner... only to find out it was all frozen!

But usually, I burn things, too. When my son was little and he was hungry, he’d come into the kitchen and ask, “Mama burna dinner?” I burned it so often, that’s how he’d ask!!!

The pie was delicious. It’s actually my brother-in-law’s recipe.
