Ladies and gents,

Guess it's finally time to ask for advice.
Our young lady (almost 6 years old already) is asking for her first sewing machine. As a proud father, I decided to teaching her how to deal with mine, but dd is insisting on getting a personal machine for her. Budget is around $250, and she - certainly! - doesn't need anything fancy. So I've narrowed down my options to these (just searched "children's sewing machines" at Amazon):

- Janome Hello Kitty - it's very similar to their sew mini model I have used in the past, and stitches very slowly, but is a real machine, not a toy.
- Brother XM 2701 - as it has even better speed control than Janome, and was recommended on other forums.
- Singer Simple 3232 -  as it has metal frame so it would be durable (at least I hope so).

But I love to spend money wisely, and that's why I'm asking whether any of these are really durable? As from my experience, plastic machines within this budget are usually bad built, while older ones - built like tanks (though I'm afraid she won't be able to maintain it properly by herself). What I probably don't want is to get her a computerized one.
We are going to round the places where she could try them before purchase next week.

So if anyone's got a tale to tell, or recommendation to put forth please do. All feedback is appreciated, love stories, horror stories, indifference.
Thanks in advance!

Singer Simple 3232 is the best choice for the money to my mind. A great machine for beginners, easy to operate and control. Works good with any kind of fabrics. Or if you still in doubt, here are some more good model for the reasonable price: https://sewingtopgear.com/sewing-machines-for-kids/
