Made this for the Sweat Shoppe Ornament Swap... Inspired by the fun, kitschy wreaths and decorations of Georgia Peachez.

Almost all the components are vintage garage-sale or thrift store trinkets:
Star-shaped baking tin
Bottle brush Christmas tree
Plastic elf from a 1970s DIY Christmas ornament kit (inexplicably, with an unseasonal lady bug on his leg!)
Plastic bells from a vintage garland
Vintage seam binding bow
Lurex yarn and vintage sequins for hanger (not pictured)

The only new things are the Merry Christmas message from a Tim Holtz pack of chipboard holiday slogans, some sparkly scrapbook paper as a backdrop, and the tinsel around the edge.

Do come swap! This particular swap is closed now, but there are always fun ones in the works!

I love, love, LOVE this! my grandma had those little elves and I am so sad that they went off into the ether instead of into my possession.

Thanks! Im really pleased with how it turned out. Last year, I took out all my collected vintage-kitsch Christmas stuff and made a diorama in a box, but was disappointed in it. This one made me happier!
