My work handed me a gourd and asked me to turn it into a swan for our Halloween display at work. I asked them why they wanted to turn it into a swan when it was obviously a snake? They told me they didn't care what it became as long as it was work appropriate.  Tongue

I have never painted a gourd before and I am not that skilled of a painter. I prefer to use markers so I was intimidated to start but I think he turned out well. Everyone at work liked him. I named him Gourdon. Sorry for so many pics. I was just tickled that he actually looked somewhat like a snake.

And my favorite pic.

and it on display at my house before I brought it in.

And a bonus shot of my cat Dahlia before I started. She was checking it out. *She was sick a couple weeks ago and had to get blood taken. She is still growing out the fur on her throat.
