Crafters, I don't think I saw anything here on Eclipse 2017!  Did you make any crafts for this?  if not, you have plenty of time to make something for Eclipse 2024!!  Here is a quick t-shirt I made from a tutorial I saw here: http://kidscrafts.craftgossip.com/last-minute-solar-eclipse-t-shirt-project/2017/08/19/    It was so easy and fast to make and the best part of it was I had all the supplies already (including the t-shirt) so I was able to whip it out on Sunday evening before the Monday eclipse.

I'm lucky that Chicago has many museums, one of which is Adler Planetarium. Another pic:

That is SO COOL! We did go to the university to view it but I guess our dire warnings about not even peaking up at the sun scared the kids too much, they all wanted to go home! We ended up borrowing a cereal box viewer and a pair of glasses to quickly look but we didn't do any crafts. Next time Smiley.

I'm not online as much as I used to be, don't panic if it takes a while for me to reply to things Smiley.

I can't wait to see what the reactions will be from little kids in 2017 to when they see the 2024 eclipse.  The Adler had a telescope thingy that reflected the image of the sun onto a screen so you could at least see the shape/shadow of the eclipse or the sunspots.
