I was so excited when my son saw a quilt he wanted. Didn't look too hard - just a bunch of really big flannel blocks rag quilted together. OMG I now hate flannel! You cannot keep this fabric square. all the plaids ended up wonky. But I do like the finished product. and it is the softest warmest quilt ever. I used a regular store bought binding in green (son's favorite color). I made it a large full size and it was nearly the death of my sewing machine even though it was a rag quilt.

Ooo! I love it! You got my attention with the plaid and hooked me with the flannel rag quilt! I have been saving flannel scraps for such a thing, but not all plaids.

This looks so snuggly soft.  But yeah, I hear you on working with flannel.  Wink

You cannot give me too much work; to accumulate work has almost become a passion with me: my study is so full of it now, that there is hardly an inch of room for any more. I shall have to throw out a wing soon. (J.K.Jerome)
