I made this shawl for my niece's birthday. I chose a simple pattern and a thick yarn because it needed to be a quick project. The pattern is Caron's Sunset Dreams Shawl and the yarn is Lion Brand Just My Stripe in Berry Blue (3 balls). Though I did run out of yarn for the tassels, so those are from a conveniently coordinating Caron Cake.

It worked up very quickly and turned out nice and cozy. The tassels are removable, just in case she doesn't like them.

Beautiful!  I love the way the self striping nature of the yarn, and great call on the removable tassels.
