I received from faemystique yesterday! It was a nice way to end the day.

She took inspiration from a lot of the mixed media, layered pieces I have on my pinterest board and I love the tactile quality of it all.

She also made me a beautifully layered brooch with so much stitching.

And there were some fun extras included.

Thank you so much faemystique!!

Wow! Beautiful! Lovely colors too. I can't imagine what goes into all that wire wrapping. It looks fab.

I love the colors and textures of both pieces.  The wire wrapping around the beads is great.  It looks "free form".  When I tried wrapping wire around beads it looked  "drunken" and "confused".  Cheesy

Those are both stunning! Beautiful colors and textures, and the wire wrapping is so beautifully done. I agree that elegantly done free-form wrapping is SO much harder than it looks. Wonderful start to the gallery. Smiley

Cool! The wire wrapping is great but that stitchy is tremendous. Love all the layers and texture, wow!

Aww thanks everyone!  I had big swap anxiety lol

Oh the wrapping was frustrating me lol... the shell reminded me of a sheep... and then I added the blue porcelain... both beach finds... one in Alaska one in Washington... sheep blue... I just had to after I realized it...

and this is the first fabric bead i have ever attempted.

The brooch came from my failed first project... i added more stitching to the base and threw some stuff on it.. like acrylic paint dried blob in top corner on right.. the gold... I kept it thinking its so pretty I should use that... zero waste... haha

Oh and that bead broke... I had to quickly improvise upon sending... this was original bead
