i have a  question? does anyone  have  any  craft superstitions.i have  two.never start any thing on a Friday.and a stitch  in time  saves nine.

Not sure if it counts as superstition but years ago I had 3 false starts at Scrapbooking as in collected some supplies tried to get into SB and failed never got going not even one layout.The supplies got put to good use for other hobbies.

Not so much a superstition as a habit I guess - but when prepping my beading thread, using wax or Thread Heaven, I find I always have to draw the thread through 3 or 5 times - usually 5.  Once is never enough; nor is twice.

The number 4 is a cultural superstition though - even though I am not a believer of it, but it is so ingrained from my mother and grandmother that I will not draw through 4 times, give 4 kisses, wash wounds 4 times,  etc.  The number 4 in Chinese is similar to the word for death.  But I actually don't believe anything negative will happen if the 4 is associated with it.

Also there is something about dropping scissors - not just because it's crappy on the scissors.
