I made this Happypotamus & shared it in the 2019 Annual DeStashAlong!

(original post here)

I used all stash yarn & fiberfill - I did have to buy the buttons (16mm) for the eyes (& later had to buy more fiberfill because I used every bit I had).

Pattern used: Happypotamus The Happy Hippo by Heidi Bears
Yarn used: 11 skeins of Mira Minis for the motif centers, 0.25 skeins of purple Lion Brand Pound of Love for the last 2 rounds of the motifs
Hook used: 2.75 mm (C)

This was a fun project to work on! The pattern is very well written & easy to follow. Smiley

I made all of the motif centers first:

(the colors are a bit off)

& then crocheted the rest of the motifs (crocheting them together as I went):

To prevent the stuffing showing through, I inserted a dark blue t-shirt (with the bottom & sleeves sewn up) into the hippo & put the stuffing into the t-shirt. At this point, I thought I'd need to buy more fiberfill because I finished the bag I had:

But then I found a small bag buried in my stash - just enough to finish stuffing Happypotamus!

That has to be the cutest hippo I have ever seen! Great work! How long did it take you to make that?
