My Brother sewing machine was in storage decades. After reading instruction book and watching Youtube videos on how to oil it. I went to oil it and found these loose bits inside it.?? The bottom tension never worked properly which is why I put it away many years ago.
I am not sure if it is worth taking in for repair. As only service job is a like 65 euro /72 usd and getting a price quotation for repairs needed is more money on top of that and depends on what is wrong with it. A new cheap sewing machine at german mail order Bader is 109.99 /127 euro.
Things get a bit more complicated for a long time I have been thinking about buying a die cut machine which is about same price.
I am usually hand sewing but hands are less with osteoarthritis so I thought maybe give this old sewing machine another try. But if I buy new and it does not work out then is no use to me.
Second hand is no option as they go for same price as a cheap new one. And second hand is buy as is very risky.
Looking for some advice.
