Prince of the Land of Stench

Here's a project I made (at least the first portion of) for the Craftster Stitch-along last September. The theme was "What's that smell?" I immediately thought of the references to the Bog of Eternal Stench in the movie Labyrinth.
And c'mon, Ludo is awesome, and had the best reaction to the bog ever.

So I stitched, appliqued, and needle-felted until I had this guy:


But I couldn't stop there. Not only could Ludo announce the odor in the room, he could do something about it! So I ordered some activated charcoal through the internet, sewed some into a pouch, stretched the Ludo art on a wooden frame, made a little snug holder out of an onion bag and a hair elastic, and now he's an artsy deodorizer!






He's now adorning the wall of our laundry room/ kitty litter area, and let me tell you he does great work!
