UPDATED WITH MORE PHOTOS

Last year one of my besties came into a ton of antique granny doilies from someone who didn't want them!

I donated my hoops and her sister her and myself made our own assemblage of doilies in hoops (about 6 to 8 each) but a year passed before I touched my chosen set of doily hoops again... so after a major craft room overhaul, I came up with this...

I want to get a nice branch to hang it all from but until then this works!  I will update this post with the final project... could be another year tho haha

I put fabric behind the three biggest hoops then hot glue them together and made fabric braces and hot glued them over each connection between hoops to make it super solid...

Added some baubles and burlap fabric flowers... hung lace ripped fabric and yarn... and here ya go!

That looks beautiful! What an excellent way to showcase those lovely vintage tatties. Nice.

Love this! I've also received a variety of antique doilies from family members, and I've been holding on to them trying to decide what to do with them. I think now at least a couple of them will end up in hoops! Maybe with scraps of clothing behind them, and some of the crocheted and tatted lace I've inherited. There's not enough of anything to really use in place settings or clothing embellishments, but display like this would be great! You all did a lovely job!

Haha thanks... this was all me... they haven't assembled their hoops into anything other than doilies inside them... never took pics last year of them...

This is beautiful. I have a bunch of old knitted lace collars my grandma made and I've been trying to figure out what to do with them. This is a great idea!

Thanks!  I really want to add white feathers amongst the hanging danglies... and some shells possibly... that and hang it from a nice branch... add dangles to each end and decor the connections to the branch with beads also

similar to this

and really not too labor intensive, just large overall once together, but the arrangement possibilities are pretty endless, could do so many things!  also old lace table cloths could be added in hoops as well... old embroidery linens, etc...
