Too lazy 2 work, too honest 2 steal, jst rt to sew

A lady I've known since high-school asked for an unusual item.

So, using an old sheet, I made one.
It's basically a drawstring bag, made with 2 handles.
Can you guess what it's for?

Here's what it's for:

A re-usable, washable kitchen garbage bag.

Some background: our Prime Minister has announced that by 2021, all single-use plastics will be banned. I believe he'd meant plastic cups, straws, and grocery  bags. Kitchen garbage bags weren't included, as far as I know. However, if your garbage doesn't include "messy" things, like Coffee Filters, tea bags, and leftovers, there's not any particular reason you couldn't use a reusable bag. She does composting, so the "messy" stuff mostly doesn't go into the garbage, and the bag is washable anyway. And, this one is the second one for her, so she can switch them out and have one being washed, while the other does trash-can duty.

This time, I've written down the instructions. (The first time, I didn't) If you'd like the instructions, please tell me in your replies. Thank you.

Either way, what do you think, Craftsters? A good idea, or not so much?

Here are the instructions:

*READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS FIRST*
Cut a piece of fabric, 63.5 CM X 152.5 CM (25"W X 60"L)
Cut 2 pieces 20cm X 10cm (8" X 4") These will be handles.

At both short ends of the bag, double fold 5mm (1/4"). Sew.
Now, fold in 1/2 lengthwise, right side out. At one side, leave a 2.5cm (1") gap at the top {start sewing side seam 1" down}  Sew each side with 5mm (1/4") seam width.
After both sides sewn, fold to wrong side out, sew another 5mm (1/4") seam, enclosing the first 5mm (1/4") seam.
Turn Right Side out again. Using a marker, mark the bottom fold, about 15-17cm (6 or 7") in, on both sides. Align side seam with your bottom fold mark. On the outside, there ought be a triangle. Measure in 12.7 cm (5") on the side seam: draw a line. Sew on line. Sew another seam on top of, or beside first one. Repeat for other side of bag.
Cut off excess fabric from triangles, about 5mm (1/4") from seam.
Turn bag Wrong Side out: sew bottom edge seam 5mm (1/4"), enclosing first seam.
Now to finish all the seams. Fold each seam and pin to the bag. Sew the seam down.
At the top, in the space where you left a 2.5 Cm gap, double fold each side seam to the wrong side, and sew. This is to make the entry & exit for the drawstring.
Now, fold the top down 2.5 Cm (1") to the Wrong Side. This will make a casing for the drawstring. Sew closely to the edge.

HANDLES:
Fold each piece in half lengthwise: press. Fold each side inward to the press mark. Press again. Sew each edge. Fold ends down, press. Pin handles over each side seam, below the drawstring casing. Zigzag each end. Repeat for other side.

Attach your drawstring to a Safety Pin, thread drawstring through its casing. Finish end with a knot. (If you have a Cord End, thread it onto the cord first, then knot.)
TA-DAH -- You are done! Pat yourself on your back.
Place bag into garbage bin, fold the top over the top edge of the bin, and tighten the drawstring.
