You know I would be interested. I still haven't signed up for the mafia yet. I can't acsess yahoo at work, and that is when I am online most. But my intentions are still there. I've just been swamped. All of my time is gone these days.
I'm really more interested in doing something with a customer base not exactly the same as bizarre market. I'm thinking a more diverse crowd, with people coming to buy, not just see and be seen. Not that the bizzare market isn't great, just not as diverse a customer base, which I think you need to get a good return on your investment. What kind of services would the fee cover? Space? Advertising? What kind of advertising?

1. that sounds really cool.

2. i would totally be interesting in vending. and depends on the cost of the fee, and whether people will come or not.

3. i think if advertized in galleries and at the university. it would do well.

Thanks for all of the replies!  OMG - how is it October already??!!  The Richmond Craft Mafia will have a small indie/DIY holiday market for it's members in December.  For those of you who haven't checked us out yet, mozie on over to http://www.richmondcraftmafia.com

I really would like to put Richmond on the map in the DIY/indie craft show circuit.  To do it right, I'd like to start planning now for a kick-a@@ Spring show.  I'll keep this thread going for that... so any ideas, wanting to help plan, wanting to participate, etc. - post it here!

I'll make sure I post the details about the December show!
