Right before the Great British Bake Off swap closed, I went to visit sheepBlue in Michigan. We took a trip to Ann Arbor and perused a lot of fun local shops there. We found so many awesomely cool things, it was hard not to buy it all! But one thing we DIDN'T find was cool GBBO swag.

When sheep and I were ultimately paired in said swap, I KNEW I had to send her a Mary Berry prayer candle (it was one of the things we unsuccessfully searched for). After discovering that my computer skills were not up to the task of digitally rendering Mary Berry as "Our Lady of Perpetual Perfection," I resorted to skills I DID have. Hence, the embroidered prayer candle was born:

Inspiration was taken from here and here.

I had so much fun with this project! Thanks for looking. Smiley

I am completely bonkers for this piece of ark work. I don't know a thing about that show but who cares? This is so awesome it transcends whatever it's about and is simply a fantastic mysterious amazing item all on it's own. LOVE the layering and the PEARLS! Wow!

You know who needs to see this? Wulf needs to see this. I just know he is gonna love it as much as I do.
