Details of swap:
For this swap, you’ll send the following handmade items to your swap partner:
- one journal cover
- one notebook insert
- two journal accessories

The above list of crafted items is the minimum requirement for this swap.
Please feel free to chat with your partner if you wish to swap for more notebook inserts, accessories, etc.
Extras are not necessary, but if you like to spoil your swap partner with extras, you may also opt to do that at your discretion

Let's talk about journal covers.  For practicality, your constructed journal cover should be hardy enough for everyday use.  A variety of materials may be utilized to create your journal cover - canvas, fabric, leather (you may wanna check if this is a viable option for your swap partner), grungeboard, book board, etc.  Another idea might be to start with a plain journal cover that you can customize and embellish for your swap partner.  Too many possibilities!    

Notebook inserts are an essential component in a traveler's journal.  The pages may be regular print paper, or even graph paper, dot grid paper, parchment paper, cotton linen paper, cardstock, recycled paper, etc.  Have fun with it!  

And last but not least, accessories!!!  Pen holders, attachable zip pouches, pockets, folder inserts, journal charms, washi tape holders, page markers, clippies, stickers, etc.  Basically, it's anything you think your swap partner would love to use with his/her journal.

Hm... I will be out of town for the first two weeks of august, so I could probably get someone to confirm when I receive, but I wouldn't actually get the things or be able to post pictures until after that.

You're so well-traveled!  Montreal is on my list of places to visit (why didn't I do that when I lived out East?!?). 
Hope you can fit this swap in your busy schedule...but hey, real life adventures take precedence over everything else

I don't think this will be too much of an issue if you let your swap partner know in advance.  He/She might be willing to post pictures in the gallery on your behalf?

After seeing this swap I created a new board and went crazy. I will say though that I have not yet found a tutorial for a fabric Traveler’s Journal that I like. I might have to do my own. I use Peltex to make a firmer cover.

This tutorial is for a pocket sized notebook but the techniques can be used for a bigger one (just change the measurements I used).
