I have been having to wait until just now to post these cards, because of secrecy. I made them in April! When I found this project in Cricut Design Space I knew I had to make it for one of my bestie's birthday! Then I noticed it was presented as a Mother's Day card, so I made my mom one, too.

Pink for my dear friend!

I added a stamped image to the inside of each of the bigger "dolls," but apparently didn't get photos. D'oh!

Green for mom for Mother's Day.

I bought a Happy Mother's Day stamp after I took the photos and stamped the littlest "doll," but I did it upside down! Double d'oh! I made a note to my mom mentioning that I hoped she'd receive the card in the spirit it was made and just be glad it wasn't a salt dough hand print.  Cheesy

The envelope that the project came with were VERY TIGHT. I tried to make it work better on the pink one, but assembling it upside down. It helped a bit.

What a lovely idea. I definitely want to do something like that for a birthday. I don't have a Cricut but they don't look too difficult to make by hand. Thanks for all the photos

I'm curious; How much time did it take you make each of those matryoshka dolls?  They have so much detail. Very nice.

They are so great. I just adore those little nesting dollies, how utterly charming.

Thanks friends!

I'm curious; How much time did it take you make each of those matryoshka dolls?  They have so much detail. Very nice.

You know, these came together pretty quickly as these types of projects go, because there is no hand cutting and only 3 colors layered on top of the card bases. After selecting papers and cutting, probably no more than 1.5 hours each to assemble including embossing and figuring out embellishments.

Since I started making these Cricut-cut cards I have a new appreciation for the $15 handmade cards I see for sale that are not made using a fancy machine or a purchased set of files. How do they do it in less than an hour?
