Hello there!

Now that my partner has received, I can safely post my latest crocheted creation. This bag was created for my partner, Kwality, in the Make a Friend Swap.  We were supposed to get to know each other and craft something for them based on what we learned.  I learned that Kwality likes geometric patterns. That, combined with my desire to make something that could be useful, I settled with designing and making her a fun tapestry crochet bag!

here is my grid design -

And here are allllllll of the process shots I took as I went -

Once I reached the desired height (which I totally neglected to measure), I took care of sewing in the couple of tails, and attached 4 D rings to the outside of the bag for the straps to attach to.  I unfortunately didn't get a chance to take a pic of this step. Here are some action shots of the final thing!

The handles have snap closures so that they can be removed easily in case the bag needs to be washed (which is 100% machine washable and dryable!) or the handles need to be replaced. The Julius Paul Frank Charm was needle felted as a small item for the package.  I thought the bag needed a cute charm with a tassel to complete the look! Smiley

I'm pretty proud of how this one turned out.  I really like the mix of craft with the polished hardware.  My mom and sister are already whinning asking for bags of their own. LOL  Grin Grin

Thanks for looking!

Is this the project you were working on in Asheville? Oh my gosh, it is just incredible! And so special since it was part of that fantastically crafty gathering, how double-plus-good is that?! I love that you needle felted Julius, haha, he is a favourite of mine. Did you ever see the animated series about him and his friends? Awesome.

There's not much in this world that can't be improved by either chocolate, bacon or glitter.

Holy cats! That's amazing! I'd be torn between wanting to take it with me everywhere and wanting to keep it protected behind bullet proof glass.
