I am in awe of all of these!  How are you going to display them?  Silence of the Lambs style?

These are fascinating!  I think my favorite is the turquoise moth.

I adore each and every one of these individually and by name. I think the spider is my favorite, though. The colors are a little different, but it reminds me of the orb weaver I "adopted" as a child (She still lived outside, but I caught bugs and fed her every day, and then when she died I took her egg sac with me and eventually hatched it and released the babies).

I'd love to someday see a larger art piece with several of these stumpwork bugs with glass head pins stuck through them and old-fashioned entomological labels to make it look like a Cabinet of Curiosities bug collection. Cheesy

I believe the spider was based off an Orb Weaver, but after doing a lot of black/white/yellow or some variation along those lines, I wanted to change it up a little bit.

My friend commissioned me to to do a larger piece for her aunt and mother for xmas presents, so larger pieces will be forthcoming (assuming I ever stop procrastinating on getting started)!

I love that movie, but I'm not sure what sort of style you're referring to?  Tongue I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them yet. A few will probably be put in a diorama frame to be hung up.

Super cool work as usual! Love the reference pics! Some of them I would have thought just sprang from your imagination. Bugs are wild!

Amazing stuff, sheepBlue!  Wonderful menagerie of colorful creepy-crawlies!

@EriChanHime:  I used to "feed" spiders by catching insects and tossing them onto their webs when I was a kid too!

Going 'rogue' looks good on you!  They're all fantastic in their own way, just like the real things! Stellar work.
