Last summer there was a MASS explosion of pregnancies among my girlfriends (9 over the course of 4 months)- and those who didn't have a baby last summer are NOW pregnant. Because I have so many baby showers/ 1st birthday parties coming up, I've been hard at work making stuffies for each little one.

I have always loved Jellycat Cordy Roy stuffies (https://bit.ly/2HSTAA5), but at $35 a pop x 9+ babies, they aren't something that I can manage. So I took inspiration from the Jellycat critters when making these little guys. I modified this pattern (https://bit.ly/314Gmrx)- bumped it up 150%, and drafted my own patterns for various tails and ears.

For those babies who are turning one, I used the same fabric for their tummies/ ears that I did in making their presents last year (tag blankets, bibs, and burp cloths), to tie it all together. I really love how they've all turned out, but I'm personally really partial to the cat and the green gang. I also have fabric to make around 20 more (I can get 4-5 per metre), so I'm really excited to continue giving them their own personalities- and eventually making an army.

Hope you enjoy!

I love how your stuffies turned out.  They're really adorable!
The Jellycat Cordy Roy ones are lovely, but your versions are even more special because you made them with love and care Smiley
Well done you!

What an awesome way to show love to all your friends and their kiddos. These are super cute. Smiley I am partial to the green bunny myself. Wink

So cute! I love how textural they look. I had a quilt when I was little that was made with different squares of fabric. I had favourites in colour and pattern but at night in the dark the ones with the nicest texture were the most comfort. Kids are going to love these.

So many cuties!! They look soooo cuddly and soft. I love that you kept a hold of some scraps to include to match the baby blankets too. Very clever!
