I asked my DD to help me with one of the patches...to draw something on it that I could then follow up with stitching.  Unfortunately, it didn't work out too well, but I'm hoping to salvage it.   Tongue

in other news, I came home to find that there's a nest in my window box planter with three baby birds! I can get almost face-to-face with them, with the window screen in between. It's adorable. I don't want to alarm mama-bird, though.

But what *kind* of birds are they??  Grin

Andean condors.  Cheesy

No, I think sparrow, but going to check on them today, they're GONE...Barred owls and red-tail shouldered hawks also frequent this area, so they are probably the culprits.  Undecided
Down the street from my house growing up, one person's house did become a hangout for California condors, for reasons no one could figure out: https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1999-sep-16-mn-10720-story.html

Alas, I couldn't fix what I messed up on my project, so I'm starting over today! It is for the best, though, because I'll avoid making the same mistakes this time around. And this project is absolutely color therapy for me; I'm working with a gorgeous set of cool ocean colors and I feel so good just looking at them!

I've had to be out-of-state for almost a week, so most of my geezer projects were put on hold. Since they involved my sewing machine, I didn't want to risk damage by taking it with me. Fortunately though I had some other, smaller projects planned so I moved them to the front burner because the tools were easily portable. Progress made, just not in the sequence I had planned.  Grin

I have my measurements and my plan, and am probably not going to start doing the actual crafting until after we get back from vacation.

I have all of my supplies, but I need to clear a work space. With the extreme heat expected this weekend, Ill be hanging out in the room with the AC getting small tasks done. One of those things could be connected to my item for imera... I think I can do at least one part... my least favorite part, so it will be nice to get it out of the way Smiley
