I made some super realistic looking crystal gems with cellophane. I'm super excited about them!  They look so great and area pretty easy to make.

These are really fun.. they're light and stiff and if you put a light inside they glow and flicker in a most satisfying way.  I want to put one on a wizard staff, and I'm going to make a hanging lamp out of a bunch of them too.

I wrote up a whole tutorial, linked here, including downloadable paper cutout templates: https://learn.adafruit.com/paper-craft-crystal-gem-lantern/overview

Thanks for reading!

These gems are so pretty, they are perfect for fantasy roleplay like you are doing.  How do you plan to hang it so that the weight of the light source does not weigh down the cellophane too much?  Maybe hang them upside down?
