Here we are again!

After months,if not years of only crocheting, I'm back to my needlework. I'm currently working on a pattern of the Dutch theme park De Efteling and whilst stitching, I realised again why I stopped.

I'm using a single hoop. This is what I was taught, and for smaller projects, this works like a charm. It can be a strain on the wrists sometimes, but I take it that I'm just getting old. The pattern I'm working on right now is actually quite long and big, and I have to deal with so much confetti. Following the #HAED on Instagram (those patterns are huuuuuge) I realised that there are so many possibilities out there to make my life easier. For this particular pattern I'd love to learn the parking technique. But that is a real struggle on a simple hoop that I have to store away every night.

I'm very limited in finding proper embroidery stands and hoops. I see all these amazing constructions on Instagram and YouTube, but I cannot find information on where they come from and so on. Limited, I say, because I live in Belgium and I cannot find a store that would stock these kind of items. I'd like to see some up close, experiment, just feel them.

I have a lapstand and I'm not happy with it. I really love the fit of my work on it, but I sit to far away from the frame. I must admit that I take the hoop quite high in my hand to look at my stitches.

I'd love for Craftster to make a pinned thread for hoops and stands. So people can share their information.
Right now, I'd love to find a proper website with decent information and maybe a shop with stands... Can anyone help?

I would like a stand too but it is very difficult to choose a good one. I've had no luck figuring it out myself :/.

Have you checked out 123Stitch.com?  What size are you looking for?

I have not, I'll do that right now.

Even about size, I'm so ignorant. Because I simply have no material to compare it too. I do not stitch huge works (yet)... I automatically assume that the size of the finished work matters too?

See, I really know nothing... *slightly ashamed*

I've seen smaller ones that sit on your lap. I think I saw them on the Herrshener's

I went to 123 stitch and ordered the Boye plastic hoop stand set. It looks like it will be easy to transport and had three different sized hoops. I'm waiting for the order but I'll put up another reply when I get to try it out.
