Thank you all for the nice comments about my parasol! I used Lion Brand Mandala yarn so I only had to weave in 2 ends! Grin

Holy smokes! That's GENIUS!

Class/Challenge: Care of Magical Creatures
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name & Page Link: Steampunk Clutch
Brief Description: A slightly-steampunk-slightly-hufflepuff clutch made for the Make a Friend Swap! This took quite a bit of care and lots of piercing with a special leather needle. Wink

jellybean89, where did you get your parasol? Or was it just a basic umbrella before?

It's just a folding umbrella that's usually in my purse. Smiley I stretched the yarn over the ends of the umbrella spokes - it's not connected permanently.

Jellybean, did you follow the pattern as written (round) or add points to it for the attach spots? Thanks for linking the pattern, btw, I've saved it to my ravelry library.

I followed the pattern as written (I only made rounds 1-31). There are sections in round 30 where there are 3 ch5 loops separated by sc stitches - I put my umbrella spokes in the middle ch5.

Ok, I've been really creative lately (which is good because it makes me happy)

Class/Challenge: Floo challenge - The Night Circus
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name & Page Link: Office chair makeover
Brief Description: It was a really spontaneous crafting decision. My son who got a new chair didn't want me to throw away his old chair, even though it didn't look that great. Knowing that if I put the chair on hold until later it would never be done I decided to start at once, meaning I couldn't look for or buy colourful or fun fabric that would cheer me up whenever I looked at it. Instead I found some thick curtains my mother gave me ages ago which would work well enough. It was easier covering the old chair than I first imagined it would be, even if it took slightly more than three hours to finish. I've added a picture of how the chair looked before I fixed it, of course it was in parts because I had my son disassemble the chair while I looked for the fabric.

Class/Challenge: Quidditch cup round 1 - Lap Around the Pitch
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name & Page Link: Ice Cream Sandwiches
Brief Description: I made something round, I guess you can say it's cylinder but the cookies were round before I assembled them. My son wanted to make ice cream sandwiches, hes asked about it for a while, I've also been interested in trying to make some myself so we found a random recipe and tried it out. The recipe I used can be found here: Homemade Chocolate Ice Cream Sandwiches
I dont know if its my new oven, but I should not have let them stay in as long as they did, the cookies were harder than I would have preferred them to be when they cooled down.
