StudioANF Such a cute bag, I love geometric patterns. The bag looks high quality, and I'm glad you had fun learning about your swap partner.

rhinoceroses mmmm, banana bread. Speaking of bananas, I do have like 5 ripe bananas (not counting the ones I froze down), and that recipe does look interesting. And even if the meatballs didn't turn out as planned at least they turned out well enough Cheesy

Audania1 Good luck finishing the project XD

So far I've started a few house-related projects that individually aren't an assignment, but after I get a few done I'm sure I can submit the package as one. Right now I am trying to redeem a much loved (read: stained) kitchen towel by staining it in entirety using a bowl of coffee. Could be good, could be a dust rag. Only time will tell. Smiley

Happy crafting!

Update: Ummmmmm... Well, it looks like it was used to, well, sop up a lot of coffee. Not exactly pretty. We'll see how it dries...

Yeah PB! Way to go!

And AntBee, I know how you feel. I tried to tea stain some cotton yarn doilies.... did not turn out as expected. I think the next time I try I will do it a few times and maybe the color will turn out how I like.

Class/Challenge: Floo - Kowalski's Bakery
House: Gryffindor!
Project Name & Page Link:  Madeira Cake

Brief Description:  I'm currently in the Great British Bake Off Swap, and have been rewatching all the series while I craft for it.  Watching all the bakers work gave me a nagging itch to bake something too.  This is a Madeira Cake, which was invented in the 19th Century to serve with Madeira wine during afternoon tea.  It's lightly lemony, and apparently I baked it well, because it has a perfect crack along the top, as Paul & Mary demanded of the GBBO bakers.  Smiley

Class/Challenge:  House Unity
House: Gryffindor!
Project Name: Herb Garden & Flower Pots

Brief Description: Inspired by the head of Hufflepuff House, the wonderful Professor Sprout, I replanted my summer herb garden, the flower box on our mailbox, the big pots on our front steps, and even a teacup pot of flowers on the back porch.  This year I even added 2 small container veggies, a cherry tomato and a pickling cucumber plant.

Class/Challenge: Flying
House: Gryffindor!
Project Name & Page Link:  Elise Shawl

Brief Description: This shawl was made for jemimah in the Use the Good Stuff Swap.  I loved working with the yarn, which is incredibly soft, feeling like fluffy clouds to the touch.
