I've been out of town so I kind of missed the end of last term, but I'm excited for my first round of Quidditch, and I need to decide what my first OWL is going to be!

Class/Challenge: Potions
House: Ravenclaw
Project Name & Page Link: Geometric Tapestry Crochet Bag
Brief Description:
I created a grid design and turned it into a tapestry crochet pattern to make a tote bag for my partner in the Make a Friend Swap.  We had to learn about our partner first before deciding what to make for them, and it was great fun learning all about Kwality!

Here is the pattern I made -

Yay for Midsummer!! How exciting! I'm sorry I'm slow getting into the term, work has been crazy busy this past week.

For new new Iron Chef Hogwarts challenge, check out the kitchens!

OWLs and NEWTs have been a bit simplified this term as well. The big change is there are no longer specific subjects/options:

Quote
You are to choose the course of study you wish to take in a particular subject. Research your desired subject, find a facet of that subject that you wish focus your advanced studies. Form a plan of action, and make your proposal. The possibilities are endless!

Basically, as long as your project fits the time and challenge requirements, you're good! If you have an OWL or NEWT that is in progress from previous terms, you can keep the subject/option information, no problem!

Welcome StudioANF!!

CONGRATS Edel!!!  Kiss

Class/Challenge: Floo Powder Challenge - Kowalski's Bakery
SPEW: made for hungry programmers at spouse's work if that counts Wink
House: Ravenclaw
Brief Description: My go-to banana bread! I don't bake very often, but when I do this is one of my favorites just because of how good the house smells. This was a double-batch after having bought way too many bananas for a picnic a couple of weeks ago. This is the recipe I use.
Project Picture:

Class/Challenge: Arthmancy
House: Ravenclaw
Brief Description: Just another dinner recipe that's been on my list to try - "gyoza meatballs" are supposed to be like potstickers without all the work or extra calories of wrappers Wink I left out the bamboo shoots and used the modification of 1lb of ground meat vs. half of ground meat and shrimp. The result...the spouse asked if I made meatballs from my chicken salad (which is pretty plain and definitely not asian-inspired). So not quite what I was hoping for, but good enough with some cauliflower fried rice and plenty of coconut aminos and chili garlic sauce Smiley
