This project was inspired by a blog post by Sadie Seasongoods. Here is my version, which will be installed on the wall of my sewing/craft room.

Everything has been upcycled. The frames were hideous old document frames that I cleaned and painted.

The matting is 1980s vintage fabric, Rose Fever Wearable Art. The humongous yellow roses were supposed to adorn your sweatshirt necklines or jean jackets, etc.

I think they look nicer in the frames, setting off the vintage pattern envelopes.

There's not much in this world that can't be improved by either chocolate, bacon or glitter.

These are so neat! I may just have to use yours as inspiration for a few vintage patterns I have, but will probably never use for sewing!

You should totally try it-its so easy! I just wrapped the fabric around cardboard and taped it on the back to secure it.

The inspiration blog post said everything was mod-podged, but I just laid the pattern envelope on top without any tape or anything and then put the glass on top, which held everything in place very nicely.

Kept the rose motifs whole and kept everything clean without glue so nothing gets damaged.... in case I want to disassemble the frames and re-use things for new projects in the future.

Thanks for the nice comments!
