Mistress Jennie with the help of sheepBlue put together a dynamic event of epic proportions in Asheville NC last weekend. It was a BLAST!
I ran 2 sessions of a fabric bead making workshop. I brought a mess of supplies and other people pitched theirs into the pile too (thank you kbrison & anna.wahnsinn).

I love how everybody took from the same pile of fabric, thread and beads but made completely unique creations!

A few of us put our beads on our fabulous lanyards and super blinged ourselves out Cheesy.

My little bead that I love so much, even though I wasn't paying attention when CLM gave very specific directions to use the fabric to cover the entire surface of the felt base.  Oops.  I can't wait to make more.  Thank you CLM!!!  I had a blast!

UTM, I'm speaking for CLM here (hope you don't mind, CLM!), but I'm sure that the beads are PERFECT no matter what variation they are made in!  I love it, and am so sad I missed so much!  Cry

UTM you totally did it right! There was plain white felt to cover completely with fabric if wanted, the colourful felt was totally meant to show through around scraps of other stuff. Yours looks great!

MistressT, it was so wonderful!  Just like the amazing online Craftsters, but getting to meet and craft with them IRL is mind-blowing!!!

Aw, thanks CLM!  I still want to make more.  Hope you get a fabric bead swap going.  I'm going to start up the Geezer Swap soonish...

I loved making these beads! I made one at the workshop and another later in the day when I was sitting around chatting. For some crazy reason, I like spending an inordinate amount of time on a tiny little thing. Cheesy

Exactly like me. A dozen hours per square inch, lol.
