For the recent Asheville Craftster meetup, I made this hoop for the in person "white elephant" craft swap. I've been on a big moth kick lately and thought about making one of my moth guy sculptures, but didn't think everyone would be super on board for a creepy-cute sculpture, so I went with a 2D felting instead. In person the moth actually has some dimension - his body and antennae kinda pop out. By itself, the moth looked a bit lonely, so I added some needle point flowers to keep him company Smiley Now that I'm looking at him in a photo though, they look terribly lopsided :x

(Photo by Rackycoo because I was a dunce and forgot to take some)

YEEEEEEEEEEEEES! I adore Luna moths, and you've done a beautiful job here capturing the flow and colors. I think the randomness of the little embroidered flowers adds to the charm. They look purposefully, if not symmetrically, placed, and the coordinate wonderfully. I will not sneak into her house and steal it, but I will daydream about it and giggle.  Wink

Everybody was far too polite to make it a true white elephant but this fabulous thing? This was the one gift that was very nearly stolen.

What a cute little moth! (which is huge, because I'm definitely not a fan of live ones! lol)
