I love the cards I got this time, they are going straight in the book with the others I've collected. Love love love! geekgirl and calluna are somewhere in the luggage, I'll find them...

For mine I used various masterboards for the backgrounds and a photo from the last time Rob and I went on a trip together just the two of us. I nearly didn't get them finished, we were at the photocopy place the morning we set out for NC. I was cutting out the bits in the car and finally got them pasted together at the hotel our first night on the road, lol.

Funny story, the B&B we stayed at on that trip was run by this fabulous couple who casually mentioned they were hosting a Wonderland themed tea party the next week. The one man lamented his lack of sewing skill to finish his costume details. Wasn't he surprised when I brought in a suitcase full of every colour felt and embroidery floss and whipped him up these ears, some footy socks, and a tail? It was da bomb being able to whip out crafty skills and make somebody's day, I loved it.

Some fun stats from the back:

Heehee, that's so awesome CLM!  Is there anything you didn't craft on your trip over?  I'm half expecting you to have sewn clothes for your Viking or harvested vegetables from the top of your van.  You are one crazy crafter girl!

I adore seeing all the things you make, CLM!  No matter what you make, it always comes out so neat and polished!

I have all the cards I had made in preparation of the trip, so when I swap again, my lucky swap partners will be getting one!  Grin

Oh, I love how you used washi tape on the edges!  I have an instax camera too, and plan on making memory books using the photos.  I'm going to use your idea!  (I have to use up some of my extreme collection of washi tape somehow!  Grin)

Jennie, have you seen those midori/fauxdori journals where the pages are folded in half and held in with a big elastic that goes around the spine of the book? That might be a solution for including some of those card holding sheets in the awesome journal calluna made. If you didn't want them inserted into the book sideways, you could attach the ringed side of 2 sheets together with a strip of strong tape so they'd go in upright. I think that book is just about large enough for a full sized sheet.
