As part of the recent Craftster Meetup in Asheville, NC, most of us made Craftster Trading Cards to share with everyone.  This is my collection!  The beautiful crocheted envelope was made by StudioANFCheesy

This one was mine.  I was in a rush, so I designed them in Photoshop and had them printed double sided at FedEx Office.

Many of the other ladies went extra-awesome-creative with theirs.  I especially loved calluna's which were each different, and included her baby pictures; and perfectlyBohemian's, which featured mini polaroid pictures she took AT THE LODGE we stayed in, and quickly attached to the cards.

Here are some of mine. I used ATC backgrounds I already had in hand and printed out my favorite picture of myself.

I love that we got to collect these at the meet-up and put them in the little crocheted cases from StudioANF.

Here's my offering:

These were so fun. I wish I had made mine more in advance than on the drive over! But Given the circumstances, I appreciated how mine turned out with my Instax photos.

I had to do mine in two batches and kept losing my tape, so the two batches have different borders, lol.

Here's mine.  I decided to go with a family theme and some fun infographics.  The pic is special because Lana is sporting her Small Things Matter tee, John is wearing the shirt that he uses for our food pickups, and I'm rocking a Difference Makers tee.  Smiley

I was so happy with all the cards I received. My collection is growing!!!  I have been itching to organize another Craftster Card Swap, but I feel like I'n still recovering from the first one.  Thank goodness alteredmommy co-organized it with me.  The tracking was crazy.  I wish there were an easier way...maybe a personal swap is the way to go?  Anyone interested?  PM me!

I'm going to find a way to place mine in the beautiful book that I got in the gift exchange, from calluna.  I want to find a way to put in clear pockets, so both sides of a card can be seen.  Then take the book to future Meetups, to have folks sign or decorate their pages.

Absolutely!  These fit into baseball card holders.  My brother used to collect baseball cards and that was the inspiration for Craftster Trading Cards with our "stats"!  I keep mine in a 3 ring-binder.
I can't remember the size of calluna's book, but I'm sure you can alter the holders to fit them.  Smiley

I am so enjoying all the creativity that goes into these!!!  I love the way that GeekGirl, craftylittlemonkey, and Rackycoo individualized their cards by altering their backgrounds while hardcore peeps like PerfectlyBohemian and calluna made one-of-a-kind ones.

I love the cards I got this time, they are going straight in the book with the others I've collected. Love love love! geekgirl and calluna are somewhere in the luggage, I'll find them...

For mine I used various masterboards for the backgrounds and a photo from the last time Rob and I went on a trip together just the two of us. I nearly didn't get them finished, we were at the photocopy place the morning we set out for NC. I was cutting out the bits in the car and finally got them pasted together at the hotel our first night on the road, lol.

Funny story, the B&B we stayed at on that trip was run by this fabulous couple who casually mentioned they were hosting a Wonderland themed tea party the next week. The one man lamented his lack of sewing skill to finish his costume details. Wasn't he surprised when I brought in a suitcase full of every colour felt and embroidery floss and whipped him up these ears, some footy socks, and a tail? It was da bomb being able to whip out crafty skills and make somebody's day, I loved it.

Some fun stats from the back:

Heehee, that's so awesome CLM!  Is there anything you didn't craft on your trip over?  I'm half expecting you to have sewn clothes for your Viking or harvested vegetables from the top of your van.  You are one crazy crafter girl!

I adore seeing all the things you make, CLM!  No matter what you make, it always comes out so neat and polished!

I have all the cards I had made in preparation of the trip, so when I swap again, my lucky swap partners will be getting one!  Grin

Oh, I love how you used washi tape on the edges!  I have an instax camera too, and plan on making memory books using the photos.  I'm going to use your idea!  (I have to use up some of my extreme collection of washi tape somehow!  Grin)

Jennie, have you seen those midori/fauxdori journals where the pages are folded in half and held in with a big elastic that goes around the spine of the book? That might be a solution for including some of those card holding sheets in the awesome journal calluna made. If you didn't want them inserted into the book sideways, you could attach the ringed side of 2 sheets together with a strip of strong tape so they'd go in upright. I think that book is just about large enough for a full sized sheet.
