Here are some new finished maiko calendar kanzashi hairpins Smiley Traditional motifs for seasons/holidays.

They are normally larger, but I made these smaller so they are easier to wear.



This one is new. I like making dragon flies, but I don't do them as often as butterflies.



This one is based on a Gion festival design, which actually change a little every year.



I've done this design before, but they always turn out a little different.



I originally made this one as a christmas ornament, but it's been repurposed into a hairpin. Smiley

Beautiful job! And thank you for your earlier answer to me about the rice glue. I appreciate that you've made the sizes for these more manageable. Not many regular ladies wear hairstyles large enough or vertical enough to accommodate most traditionally sized/shaped kanzashi. It's why a lot of mine are in curio cases. Smiley
