I've thought for a long time how fun it would be to keep an address book of swap partners for the purpose of sending out Birthday cards or random mail... And I've seen a few people do send out random crafty gifts lately so I know I must not be alone in this idea.

So I was thinking it might be fun to swap ATCs with our addresses on one side and birthday on the other. ATCs are an easy size to make, send, and store (either filed or in trading card binders). We could be in groups of 4-100  Wink Cheesy I don't know, it might depend on interest, but ATCs are easy so I think group sizes could be very flexible.

Anyone else interested in building an ATC Address Book?  Smiley

Yes. I recently received a postcard from MandyKaye that was a total surprise.
ATC sized sounds perfect.

I'd join! Or this could be the theme of the next round of the Craftster trading card swap. & or we could add it to our request lists in the regular ATC swap...

It could definitely be included in the regular ATC swap, but I was also thinking some people that don't usually make ATCs might be interested.  Could be both!  Cheesy

This sounds interesting!  My papercraft skills are weak, but a swap that encourages random happy mail, oooh...  Cheesy

I keep thinking about this swap so I'll probably start it in May.

What do you guys think about groups of 5? And sending each person an ATC with one side being your address and the other side would be your birthday.

What do you guys think about adding a list of holidays you celebrate along with your birthday? I want to keep it positive so instead of listing holidays you don't celebrate we'd just focus on the ones we do  Wink Keeping in mind that you may or may not get cards/etc but some people might make and send Christmas cards (or similar) and like to share with some crafty people  Smiley

Or the back could be your birthday and the crafts you like to do? So you might be surprised with some happy mail relating to your interests Cheesy (btw I need to sign up for that swap now!)

The basic idea of the swap is to put together an address book for you to use as you see fit. No pressure or requirement to send anything when the swap is over (but you'll have some addresses if you decide to)  Wink

The ATCs would be really easy to make for any skill level. You can watercolor a background and hand write the info, add stickers, dress it up, or keep it simple. In groups of five you'd be sending to four people with an option to be in two groups (for a total of eight partners).

I love this idea and would absolutely, totally join. I'm going to run another round of Use The Good Beads at the end of April but I can make 5 cards (or more), no problem Smiley.

I'm not sure I can fit this in with the House Plants swap starting up, promising to help Rosie1981 with the RCI swap (if she does indeed do that), CLM and I discussing our masterboard swap (one of us should start a thread for that!), and keeping a slot for the ongoing atc swaps....and I currently only have 2 spots! SO. MANY. GOOD. SWAPS. IN. MAY!!!!!

I did end up printing out an address book  for swapping friends and filling it out! YAY! Maybe I'll add this idea to my atc list.

I was looking at the callendar this morning and realized I won't have any good time to devote to organizing in May  Tongue So I'll have to wait til June  Smiley I might start signups at the end of may, but partnering and sendouts would have to be in June.
