I've been thinking about the concept of ATC self-portrait trading cards for a while, & finally promised to do a couple for the ongoing ATC swap.  At which point I decided I'm far too lazy to draw the same picture a bunch of times, so I made a stamp, instead.  It's the first time I've done stamp carving since at least middle school, and that was fun!  Smiley

The blue is an in-progress check (and I really liked how the pen I used on the stamp block came off in the print; I might play with that on purpose at some point)

Finished cards, numbered set of 7

And back, with some stats.

ETA: for the record, while my daughter does come in and bother me in the craft room a lot, I'm not usually actually reading a book at the same time as I'm running the embroidery machine.  Smiley

Ugh, it's like Thanos, ok?  the long E is the feminine ending.  (Also, I prefer *not* to destroy the universe when possible.)

You did a wonderful job with these and I do hope you'll join the next official round of the swap. I have one from you but I would happily take another! I like the blue, I bet it would be great in lots of colours. And, of course, you added a book to represent one of your life-loves, even if it doesn't occur exactly in tandem with the others you also included, I totally get where you were going with the symbolism Wink. Love them <3

This turned out so great! I love when a self portrait encompasses the interests and POV of the artist/subject rather than simply be a documentation of their appearance.
